Clinical Director of the Laboratory

Kunchang (Charles) Song, MD


Dr. Song is certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and in Cytopathology. He completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and two additional fellowships in Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology at New York University Medical Center. Since 2014, Dr. Song has worked in the Pathology Department at Hackensack University Medical Center, as a Pathology Attending and a Cytology Director. He has also served as an Assistant Professor of Pathology at the University of Rochester Medical Center. During his more than 20 years of Pathology practice, Dr. Song has been specifically focused in Pathology areas of the head and neck, thyroid, lung, GI, and hepatobiliary tract. His Cytology expertise can make an immediate Cytology diagnosis in cases sampled by a fine needle aspiration procedure.
