Book Drive at Barnes & Noble Supports Pediatric Patients at Palisades Medical Center
Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Edgewater recently organized a special book drive that encouraged customers to purchase and donate children's books for pediatric patients at Palisades Medical Center.
During the months of November through January, Barnes & Noble Bookstore customers donated more than 1,200 books — a huge increase over the 600-800 books that were typically donated in book drives held in prior years. The donated books will be distributed throughout the coming months to young patients at Palisades Medical Center and to children that participate in Palisades Medical Center's community health outreach activities.
